Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw inspected Operation Control Centre Prayagraj of DFCCIL on 08.12.24 and DFCR achieved its highest interchange with adjoining Zonal Railways on same day
Consequent upon upcoming MAHAKUMBH 2025, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, has inspected Operation Control Centre, Prayagraj of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor on 08.12.24.
During Inspection of Operation Control Centre, Prayagraj, Hon’ble Minister of Railways interacted with Board Controllers and discussed about augmentation of services likewise “Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) and KAVACH in Dedicated Freight Corridor Railway with higher Officials. CTC augmentation will help in managing train movement across the DFC railway from a centralized single central location, while KAVACH which is an indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection system designed to prevent train collisions by automatic applying brakes when necessary, essentially adding a safety layer on top of CTC system. In present days, the Centralised traffic control is being utilised in European Countries Railways and Australia.
Both system working together will enhance railway safety by managing train movement and preventing any chance of accidents. This is a big step in enhancing safety and improvement in efficiency of train movements.
Hon’ble Minister of Railways also speaks about transferring of 100% transfer of Goods train on Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor which will be a helping division hand in hand to decongest passenger routes and adding more KUMBH special trains for devotees.
Subsequent, DFCCIL has got its higher interchange i.e 770 trains with Indian Railways on same date i.e 08.12.24. It is the highest interchange happened since commencement of train operations in DFCR.
• Total 228 trains were received and 218 trains handed over (Total:446) by Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor with adjoining Zonal Railways Eastern Central Railway, North Central Railways, and Northern Railway.
• Also, 160 trains were received and 164 trains handed over (Total: 324, Highest of WDFC) to Zonal Railways of Northern Railways, Northwestern Railways and Western Railways in Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
• Earlier, 2nd best Highest Interchange of 748 Trains were interchanged on 24.11.24 .
The commodities includes Power House Coal, Automobiles, Bamboo Chips, Containers, Edible Oils, Furnace Oil, High Speed Diesel, Fertilizers, Iron, Iron and Steel, Rice, Cement, Clinker, Gypsum, Limestones, Maize , Sugar, Wheat , Empty Container rakes, Empties of Coal rakes for subsequent coal loading.
Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, has also gone through the presently installed Hot Axle Box Detector (HABD), upgraded HABD which can check temperatures of Wheel and Axle both, Machine Vision Inspection System, Wheel Impact Load detector and appreciates the working and results. Hon’ble Minister of Railways advised for usage of more IT applications for safe trains operations. Hon’ble Minister of Railways appreciates all Officials working in Operation Control Centre, Prayagraj.

“CTC (Centralised Traffic Control) system means a system by which the working of trains over a route, to which the system applies, is governed by fixed signals remotely controlled from a designated place. Economy is achieved and efficiency is increased by centralizing operation of points and signals over a large area or a stretch of line. Remote stations are controlled from a central location over a pair of lines using coded techniques. Such centralized operation also leads to increased line capacity.
“ KAVACH is an indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection System which aims to prevent dangerous train collisions caused due to human errors or limitations and equipment failures by providing additional layers of safety in the train operations. It also provides assistance to Loco Pilots by means of real time display of signaling related information such as Movement Authority, Target Speed, Target Speed, Target Distance, and Signal Aspects etc. in Loco Pilot’s Cab, which is required at enhance speed beyond 120KMPH”.
माननीय रेल मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने 08.12.24 को डीएफसीसीआईएल के परिचालन नियंत्रण केंद्र प्रयागराज का निरीक्षण किया और डीएफसीआर ने उसी दिन क्षेत्रीय रेलवे के साथ अपना उच्चतम इंटरचेंज भी हासिल किया।
आगामी महाकुंभ 2025 के मद्देनजर, श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव, माननीय रेल मंत्री, सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री ने 08.12.24 को पूर्वी समर्पित माल ढुलाई गलियारे के संचालन नियंत्रण केंद्र, प्रयागराज का निरीक्षण किया।
प्रयागराज में परिचालन नियंत्रण केंद्र के निरीक्षण के दौरान, माननीय रेल मंत्री ने बोर्ड नियंत्रकों के साथ बातचीत की और उच्च अधिकारियों के साथ समर्पित माल गलियारा रेलवे में “केंद्रीकृत यातायात नियंत्रण (सीटीसी) और कवच” जैसी सेवाओं के संवर्द्धन के बारे में चर्चा की। सीटीसी संवर्द्धन से डीएफसी रेलवे में एक केंद्रीकृत एकल केंद्रीय स्थान से ट्रेनों की आवाजाही का प्रबंधन करने में मदद मिलेगी, जबकि कवच एक स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित स्वचालित ट्रेन सुरक्षा प्रणाली है जिसे आवश्यक होने पर स्वचालित रूप से ब्रेक लगाकर ट्रेनों की टक्करों को रोकने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है, जो अनिवार्य रूप से सीटीसी प्रणाली के शीर्ष पर एक सुरक्षा परत जोड़ता है। वर्तमान समय में, केन्द्रीकृत यातायात नियंत्रण का उपयोग यूरोपीय देशों की रेलवे और ऑस्ट्रेलिया में किया जा रहा है
दोनों प्रणालियाँ एक साथ काम करके रेलगाड़ियों की आवाजाही को प्रबंधित करके और दुर्घटनाओं की किसी भी संभावना को रोककर रेलवे सुरक्षा को बढ़ाएँगी। यह सुरक्षा बढ़ाने और रेलगाड़ियों की आवाजाही की दक्षता में सुधार लाने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम है।
माननीय रेल मंत्री ने पूर्वी समर्पित मालवाहक गलियारे पर 100% मालगाड़ियों को स्थानांतरित करने की बात भी कही, जो यात्री मार्गों पर भीड़भाड़ कम करने और श्रद्धालुओं के लिए अधिक कुंभ विशेष रेलगाड़ियां जोड़ने में सहायक सिद्ध होगा।
डीएफसीसीआईएल ने उसी दिन यानी 08.12.24 को भारतीय रेलवे के साथ अपनी उच्चतम इंटरचेंज यानी 770 ट्रेनें प्राप्त कीं। यह डीएफसीआर में ट्रेन परिचालन शुरू होने के बाद से हुआ सबसे अधिक इंटरचेंज है।
• पूर्वी समर्पित माल ढुलाई गलियारे द्वारा निकटवर्ती क्षेत्रीय रेलवे पूर्वी मध्य रेलवे, उत्तर मध्य रेलवे और उत्तर रेलवे को कुल 228 ट्रेनें प्राप्त हुईं और 218 ट्रेनें सौंपी गईं (कुल: 446)।
• इसके अलावा, 160 ट्रेनें प्राप्त हुईं और 164 ट्रेनें (कुल: 324, डब्ल्यूडीएफसी में सबसे अधिक) पश्चिमी समर्पित माल ढुलाई गलियारे में उत्तर रेलवे, उत्तर-पश्चिमी रेलवे और पश्चिमी रेलवे के क्षेत्रीय रेलवे को सौंप दी गईं।
• इससे पहले, 24.11.24 को 748 ट्रेनों का दूसरा सर्वश्रेष्ठ उच्चतम इंटरचेंज किया गया था।
वस्तुओं में पावर हाउस कोयला, ऑटोमोबाइल, बांस चिप्स, कंटेनर, खाद्य तेल, फर्नेस ऑयल, हाई स्पीड डीजल, उर्वरक, लोहा, लोहा और इस्पात, चावल, सीमेंट, क्लिंकर, जिप्सम, चूना पत्थर, मक्का, चीनी, गेहूं, खाली कंटेनर रेक, बाद में कोयला लोडिंग के लिए खाली कोयला रेक शामिल हैं।
माननीय रेल मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने वर्तमान में स्थापित हॉट एक्सल बॉक्स डिटेक्टर (HABD), अपग्रेडेड HABD जो व्हील और एक्सल दोनों के तापमान की जांच कर सकता है, मशीन विज़न इंस्पेक्शन सिस्टम, व्हील इम्पैक्ट लोड डिटेक्टर का भी निरीक्षण किया और इसके कामकाज और परिणामों की सराहना की। माननीय रेल मंत्री ने सुरक्षित रेल परिचालन के लिए अधिक आईटी अनुप्रयोगों के उपयोग की सलाह दी। माननीय रेल मंत्री ने ऑपरेशन कंट्रोल सेंटर, प्रयागराज में काम करने वाले सभी अधिकारियों की सराहना की।
“सीटीसी (केंद्रीकृत यातायात नियंत्रण) प्रणाली का अर्थ है एक ऐसी प्रणाली जिसके द्वारा किसी मार्ग पर ट्रेनों का संचालन, जिस पर यह प्रणाली लागू होती है, एक निर्दिष्ट स्थान से दूर से नियंत्रित निश्चित संकेतों द्वारा नियंत्रित होता है। एक बड़े क्षेत्र या लाइन के एक हिस्से पर बिंदुओं और संकेतों के संचालन को केंद्रीकृत करके अर्थव्यवस्था हासिल की जाती है और दक्षता बढ़ाई जाती है। कोडित तकनीकों का उपयोग करके लाइनों की एक जोड़ी पर एक केंद्रीय स्थान से दूरस्थ स्टेशनों को नियंत्रित किया जाता है। इस तरह के केंद्रीकृत संचालन से लाइन क्षमता में भी वृद्धि होती है।
“कवच एक स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित स्वचालित ट्रेन सुरक्षा प्रणाली है जिसका उद्देश्य ट्रेन संचालन में सुरक्षा की अतिरिक्त परतें प्रदान करके मानवीय त्रुटियों या सीमाओं और उपकरणों की विफलताओं के कारण होने वाली खतरनाक ट्रेन दुर्घटनाओं को रोकना है। यह लोको पायलट की कैब में सिग्नलिंग से संबंधित जानकारी जैसे मूवमेंट अथॉरिटी, टारगेट स्पीड, टारगेट स्पीड, टारगेट डिस्टेंस और सिग्नल एस्पेक्ट्स आदि के वास्तविक समय के प्रदर्शन के माध्यम से लोको पायलटों को सहायता भी प्रदान करता है, जो 120KMPH से अधिक की गति पर आवश्यक है।“
