सहकार भारती ने डॉ. यू.एस. अवस्थी को “फर्टिलाइजर मैन ऑफ इंडिया” के रूप में सम्मानित किया

इफको के प्रबंध निदेशक और सीईओ डॉ. उदय शंकर अवस्थी को उर्वरक क्षेत्र में अनुसंधान और नवाचार में उनके उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए सहकार भारती द्वारा प्रतिष्ठित फर्टिलाइजर मैन ऑफ इंडिया पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।

सहकार भारती के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव उदय जोशी ने घोषणा की, डॉ. अवस्थी को पंजाब के राज्यपाल गुलाबचंद कटारिया और दत्तात्रेय होसबोले द्वारा ताम्र पत्र (कांस्य पट्टिका) के साथ यह पुरस्कार प्रदान किया गया।

अपने स्वीकृति भाषण में डॉ. अवस्थी ने सम्मान के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया और सहकार भारती के असाधारण जमीनी स्तर के काम की प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने रॉक फॉस्फेट, पोटाश और प्राकृतिक गैस जैसे आवश्यक उर्वरकों के लिए आयात पर भारत की निर्भरता को कम करने की तत्काल आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।

इस चुनौती का समाधान करने के लिए, डॉ. अवस्थी ने नैनो उर्वरकों के विकास में इफको के अग्रणी प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला, जो मिट्टी और पर्यावरण की रक्षा करते हुए विदेशी मुद्रा बचाते हैं। उन्होंने सहकार भारती के कार्यकर्ताओं से नैनो उर्वरकों के लाभों को सक्रिय रूप से बढ़ावा देने का आग्रह किया, भारत को कृषि में आत्मनिर्भर बनाने की उनकी क्षमता पर जोर दिया।

डॉ. अवस्थी ने सहकारी समितियों के बीच सहयोग के महत्व पर भी जोर दिया, सहकारी आंदोलन को मजबूत करने के लिए बड़ी सहकारी समितियों को छोटी सहकारी समितियों का समर्थन करने की वकालत की। उन्होंने टिप्पणी की कि सहकार भारती जैसे संगठन जमीनी स्तर पर लामबंदी पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हैं, जबकि इफको जैसी व्यवसाय-उन्मुख संस्थाओं का कर्तव्य है कि वे उन्हें उनके लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने में सहायता करें।

Sahakar Bharti Honored Dr. U.S. Awasthi honored as “Fertilizer Man of India”

Dr. Udai Shanker Awasthi, Managing Director and CEO of IFFCO, was awarded the prestigious Fertilizer Man of India Award by Sahakar Bharti for his remarkable contribution to research and innovation in the fertilizer sector.

Dr. Awasthi was presented the award along with the Tamra Patra (bronze plaque) by Punjab Governor Gulabchand Kataria and Dattatreya Hosabale, announced Uday Joshi, National General Secretary of Sahakar Bharati.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Awasthi expressed his gratitude for the honor and praised the extraordinary grassroots work of Sahakar Bharati. He stressed the urgent need to reduce India’s dependence on imports for essential fertilizers like rock phosphate, potash and natural gas.

To address this challenge, Dr. Awasthi highlighted IFFCO’s pioneering efforts in the development of nano fertilizers, which save foreign exchange while protecting the soil and environment. He urged Sahakar Bharati workers to actively promote the benefits of nano fertilizers, emphasizing their potential to make India self-reliant in agriculture.

Dr. Awasthi also stressed the importance of cooperation among cooperatives, advocating for larger cooperatives to support smaller cooperatives to strengthen the cooperative movement. He remarked that organizations like Sahakar Bharati focus on grassroots level mobilization, while business-oriented entities like IFFCO have a duty to help them achieve their goals.
